The SJCOE Tech Summit is an annual event where teachers, administrators, curriculum leaders, and IT staff members come together to learn how to incorporate more technology in the classroom. Tech is a tool that helps students work together, allows educators to collaborate with one another, and connects students to the world around them. In short, technology is a powerful tool to build educational community. And what better way to build community than to throw a party! With this year's "Digital Block Party" theme we'll have a new focus on learning how to build safe educational communities through use of technology tools and knowledge of how to become responsible digital citizens. The summit will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the San Joaquin County Office of Education's Wentworth Education Center, 2707 Transworld Dr., Stockton, CA 95206.
We hope you can make it. It won't be a party without you.
Attend a wide selection of instructional and hands-on sessions lead by industry experts and classroom educators to help you use technology to improve and expand student understanding in the classroom.
The popular "Make and Take" sessions will be back for the 2019 SJCOE Tech Summit. In these sessions you will learn how to use a piece of new technology that you will be able to bring back with you to your classroom.
Explore even more of the technology changing the world of education at our Ed Tech Vendor Show. Representatives from cutting-edge tech companies will be present to answer questions and demo innovative products and services.
Tech Summit keynote speaker Travis Allen is a young visionary promoting digital learning in the classroom and the founder of iSchool Initiative, which is known for using an escape room on wheels to help schools embrace technology. Escape the Bus challenges will be available as breakout sessions throughout the Tech Summit. Space is limited.
